| History: |
North American P-51 Mustang s/n 44-73142 was damaged in a crash landing in Denton TX in 1988. The damaged airframe was purchased by Bruce Morehouse of San Antonio, TX who planned to rebuild the aircraft. Many new parts including a surplus Australian wing were acquired. In 2001 Morehouse sold the project to Banta Aviation Corporation of Livermore, CA.
Tony Banta decided to have the Mustang converted into a full dual control aircraft. The fuselage was shipped to Square One Aviation, Chino, CA who converted the aircraft to full TEMCO specifications.

| Airframe: |
Fuselage: Square One Aviation converted the original center section into a dual control fuselage. Specifications include: new longerons, all new skins, overhauled windshield assembly with new glass, and new TF canopy.
Wing: The wing is a surplus Australian wing. It appears to be in excellent condition with no visible corrosion. To date no restoration work has been done to the wing. There are a few minor dents from shipping. There is a complete set of gun bay doors that will need overhauling. Fuel cells have been overhauled (2002) by Aerotech. Landing gear is complete as are all the gear doors. A new overhauled set of P-63 wheels and brakes complete are included.
Engine Mount:Rebuilt with two new longerons
Tailcone: Complete rebuild with new upper deck and new skins. Tailgear assembly has been overhauled. New horizontal stabilizer.
Control Surfaces:
Ailerons: Overhauled
Flaps: Cores - need complete rebuild
Elevators: One rebuilt, one core.
Rudder: Core – needs overhaul
Scoop: Rebuilt
Doghouse: Rebuilt
Cowling: Complete – original
Fillets: Complete – new
Coolant Pipes: New – Tube Tech
Oil Pipes: New – Tube Tech
Radiator: Core

| Powerplant: |
Rolls-Royce Merlin V1650-7 core w/ 500 heads and banks: located at Vintage V-12’s, Tehachapi, CA. Engine is currently under rebuild and buyer will pay balance of rebuild cost.

Aeroproducts P-51K steel propeller. 0 time SMOH by San Antonio Propeller. Brand new Aeroproducts spinner/backing plate.

Bare skins now, new owner can choose to paint or polish. All markings by new owner.

All internal components new or overhauled including all new hardware, firewall, hydraulic tank, trim consoles, landing gear handles, control cables, and placards. All interior components are painted high gloss gray.
