2005: July - repainted and flown to Oshkosh Convention where it was joined by Robin Olds, WWII pilot of "Scat VI" (the original). Olds put on a great forum with stories from WWII. He answers your questions with great truth and some color. He is very entertaining and is still a great fighter pilot at heart.
2007: June 14 - after battling with illness for a several months, this young-at-heart fighter pilot died peacefully one month short of his 85th birthday. Olds was a great American hero! Wiki. has some great info on him
