Taken over Florida in '45, this P-51/F-6 was named Queenie for the good people at the
VFW in Queens, NY who raised the war bond money for this aircraft. Now Col. Stewart
lived in Queens and was honored as this ships first pilot. Reports are that this P-51
was on display outside Queens VFW for a number of years, we are looking for
confirmation and info. Now Col. Stewart has been listed MIA Viet Nam since 1966.

In the background of the picture you used is a airfield. This airfield is
Lakeland airport, Lakeland, Fl. I know it well, been there.
