Jim Church sent this in:
"I think this would be P-51D, 44-74012, c/n122-40552, currently owned by James Smith, of Calispell, Montana. This Mustang had served in the RCAF as 9243. It has carried the registrations N6518D, N6519D and C-GPSI. It was rebuilt following an accident which occurred in 1974, and now carries the registration N6519D again. "
Lowell Thompson adds:
"Looks like #27 is N6519D 44-74012 owned by Duane Williams of Kellogg, Idaho at that time and marked as "Rosie 1" named after his wife. This was the late Leroy Penhall former #81 Unlimited Racer active from 1969-1973 at Reno, Cape May, Mojave, San Diego, and Miami--if not the most competitive racer it was one of the prettiest and best detailed. Williams sold this P-51 to James Smith in Montana."
T.J. Johansen:
#27. This is Duane Williams just rebuilt N6519D which was rebuilt from Leroy Penhalls racer #81 that was crashed ... in 1974!
