Looks like paint scheme of the Guatemalan AF, but not 100% sure.
The Cessna in the background has a Mexico registration.
Unknown date and place of photo.
(perhaps during a stop over enroute to/from the US)
Jim Church: Hard to say for sure, but I think this photo shows Guatemalan Air Force FAG
351, 44-74391, now owned by Connie Edwards, and in storage at Big Springs,
Texas. That would make it N38229, which was brought back to the US with
several others in 1972 . Matching the camouflage pattern to other photos I
have seem to make this the likely candidate, as well as the fact that most of
the other Guatemalan P-51s Edwards imported had cuffed props. I believe the
photo was taken after their return from Guatemala, as the emblem painted
below the cockpit was added sometime around 1973.
