I think this poor airplane has spent more time in rebuild over the years, than it has spent flying. It is 44-73027, ex RCAF 9250, ex N9146R, ex N5747 which it was at the time of this photo. After rebuild from the crash on 29 Oct 77, it became N51MP, then to France as F-AZJM and finally to Switzerland as HB-RCW, where it crashed on 11 Sep 98. There is a very good chance that between 1980 and 1993, while registered as N51MP, all the paperwork of 44-73027 was transferred to an Indonesian airframe and what came out and went to France as F-AZJM, was an entirely different airplane. |
