The Mustang in case #68 is the airframe currently on display at the Royal Air
Force Museum, Hendon, England. It was built up using an ex-TNI-AU
(Indonesian) Mustang, along with the remains of 44-73415, which had suffered
a fatal crash when US registered as N6526D. It was restored to static display
condition by the San Diego Aerospace Museum, and in return, they received a
similarly restored Spitfire Mk. XVI. The Mustang is currently on display at
Hendon as 44-13573, B6-V, 'Little Friend,' of the 357th FG.
