Readers' Responses:

Mark Clark: My guess is N16S

Martin Kyburz: This is 44-74694 which served with the 167th FS WVA ANG, nicknamed 'The Phantom'; it became N7720C, then N16S, then N6851 (Cavalier conversion) and finally became I-BILL in May 1969. The a/c crashed on July 3, 1977 near Mainz-Finthen (Germany) killing the pilot and its passenger. I own a picture of this ship, taken a few days before it crashed, showing an overall yellow scheme, succeeding the striking white/red scheme.

Case #139 shows I-BILL, case #119 shows an earlier ID, either N16S or N6851.
