This is 45-11582 still in the colours of the 167th FS WV ANG. This a/c later received civil registration N5441V.

N5441V Perhaps my favorite P-51. And the one that has introduced so many to the mustang, this is spam can, an ex WV ANG 51 that was purchased by Ed Maloney for his fledgling air museum in nov. 57. She flew as G4-U for most of the 80's and confusingly, now 7715C looks wonderful in that paint, and was changed to B6-Y for the right stuff and then to a racing purple for the PHX air races. The plane has not had a paint scheme of any note for years and now flies with a yellow tail. If you want to see a non polished stock working 51 however, she looks right. Someday maybe she will go back to her ang colors and stop the showstoppers with their "restored" polished finish.
