I guess the picture was taken at Geneva airport, where this Mustang transited in 1980 or 1981, before joining its new owner Stephen Grey in UK and being repainted as Moose/Candyman. A common sight at European airshows in the early 80's, and the first real Mustang I ever saw. The plane is now still in UK, with the Fighter Collection at Duxford, but with the paint scheme of 'Ferocious Frankie'.
